Singing the American Songbook
Notescape's singers wish all our fans a Happy Valentines Day 2021!! Covid Restrictions won't let us perform, but we sure can ZOOM!
Notescape was born as a distillation of the Falmouth Mostly Men's Choir over 20 years ago. We were and are in love with the great songs of the American Twentieth Century...the popular, singable unforgettable songs of the 40's 50's 60's 70's . Our favorite venues are intimate dinner gatherings of 6 to 12 people, and shows at libraries and community centers, often with jazz musicians. Most of our shows benefit charity. We're happy to support good causes!
These were the days when words of singers had meaning, rich with emotion, that were reflected in the musical writing. It's those feelings that we love to rediscover in that music. The A Capella arrangements take advantage of rich, complex harmonies that are incredibly satisfying to create and listen to.
We love to connect with audiences that know and love our music.
Our entertainment blends a capella styles from barbershop to mouth percussion (a little). We try to emulate the Mills Brothers' sense of jazz, the harmony and blend of Andrews Sisters and the playfulness of more modern groups like The Beatles.
